INTEGRATED MAN, WOMAN & PUBLICATION OF THE YEAR TO BE HONORED AT AHIMA’S ANNUAL DINNER
The Arizona Homeopathic & Integrative Medical Association (AHIMA) will recognize three individuals at its May 1 Annual Dinner. Three community leaders will be honored for their commitment, dedication, volunteerism, and spirit to the homeopathic community.
· Arizona Integrative Man of the Year – Stan Kalson
· Arizona Integrative Woman of the Year – Linda Heming
· Arizona Integrative Publication of the Year – AZ Net News
Publisher of the Holistic H.E.L.P. Resources and Director, International Holistic Center Inc, Kalson has a 40-year career in holistic health. Highlights of his career include opening a health restaurant in 1975, starteing a Phoenix holistic newspaper in 1981, coordinating the successful Phoenix Holistic Health Expo and co-founding the Holistic Health Gathering. Kalson has spent countless hours helping those in need through his volunteer efforts with Food for the Holidays, Dental Project, Scholarships and Community Outreach.
A patient advocate, Heming, a Lyme Survivor, Lyme Activist and Advocate spends many hours helping those with Lyme Disease and other health challenges. Having spent many years in Practice Management, Heming is the Founder and CEO of CHOICE (Consumers of Healthcare Options with Independence, Choice and Experience).
Joanne Tedesco is the Editor and Publisher of AZ Net News that she acquired from Kalson in 1986. Having been active in many community projects, Tedesco operates the Holistic Health Gathering and is a supporter of Green Medicine.
Founded in 1982, AHIMA is a 28 year-old state association for licensed homeopathic medical physicians in Arizona and in other states. Its May 1 Annual Dinner will be held at The Buttes in Tempe.
