The Scientist that absolutely proves that Homeopathy has an absolutely proven mechanism of action will be a candidate for the Nobel Prize in Medicine. According to alternative complementary medicine statistics This is a field of medicine that is currently in its 207th year of clinical implementation with unquestionable proven success but its scientific mechanism is still the subject of fierce debate in the Ivory towers of academia.
The field of complex Homeopathy developed by Dr Hans Heinrich Reckeweg MD is only in its 68th year with likewise unquestionable clinical marvels of help to ailing patients but it too eludes acceptance at the AMA level even though some marvelous breakthroughs have developed in just the last several years that May be the answers we have long been awaiting. What observations capture our attention and how can we explain them? Can we view it as a holistic approach in medicine?
These are the observations of the author of this article in his private practice in Phoenix Arizona written with the benefit of having been exposed to some of the worlds great Homotoxicologists through his now close to ten year relationship as a consultant to the Heel corporation, currently in the position of USA Medical Director of HEEL Inc. While the observations are for the most part learned from exposure to Heel philosophy and in the most part in total agreement with the thoughts presented, some of the suppositions and theoretical ideas posed at the end are solely those of the authors. This is said up front in this article to allow the scientific mind of an individual author to flow freely without any corporate restraint based upon observations of an independent practitioner.
The first observation is the unquestionable conclusion that Homotoxicology is a work of genius of Dr Reckeweg and those that followed him plus those still on the cutting edge today of Homotoxicology research and that its proper application can effect amazing relief of human suffering and chronic disease. Special thanks is offered to Dr Alta Smit MD who is truly the current penultimate Homotoxicologist.
With that said, it is fair to recount the experiences here in Phoenix and what it took to get to that bold statement. The journey of discovery began in 1988 at the advanced course of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy and a lecture by Dr Richard Trevino MD in Orlando Florida. His lecture is codified in chapter 31 in the Textbook by Dr Helen F. Krause MD entitled Otolaryngic Allergy and Immunology. A recent phone call to Dr Trevino confirmed that he learned the information presented in a text book of Immunology written by noted immunologist of Georgetown
University, Dr George Bellanti MD who according to the Internet has written numerous articles. His most recent updated textbook was written in 2002 and will be consulted for the latest information.
The breakthrough data for your author is the simple statement that an Antigen that causes irritation to the body presents itself to a Macrophage (now known as Antigen Presenting Cells, APCs) which than EITHER transfers the message to a T helper Lymphocyte (CD4 cell) or a T Suppressor Lymphocyte (CD8 cell), both of which have effects on B Lymphocytes which are those cells that produce Antibodies to counter react with the original Antigen and its progeny.

If the signal takes the T-Helper route the B Cells are turned on to produce Antibodies but if it takes the T suppressor route it turns off the B Cells from making antibodies.
What is the Effect that drives the reaction in either direction???? The answer is Concentration and/or Dilution of the presenting Antigen!!!!!
One must understand that in the case of virulent germs it’s desirable to have ones Antibody production turned on but when the antigen is a friendly substance like a harmless plant or food product (causes of unwanted allergies) or even a more harmless body part like Kidneys, Heart Valves and Joint serous Membranes (causes of Auto-immune Reactions) , it is extremely desirable to turn off Antibody production.
THE CREATOR THEREFORE GAVE US A NATURAL SWITCH to accomplish turning these mechanisms on and off, it’s simply the concentration of the original substance OR IN THE CASE OF HOMEOPATHY, SOMETHING SIMILIAR TO IT!!!!
Very low Dilutions and very high concentrations selectively drive the APCs to the T suppressor Lymphocytes which than turn off unwanted antibody production while midrange concentrations drive the APCs to the T Helper lymphocytes which turn on necessary production of needed protective Antibodies to fight off germs and Similiar substances.
In the ensuing years since 1988, the field of immunology has literally exploded with new information such as that the T Helper lymphocytes are called To (or T naught) cells and have the propensity to alternatively become Th1 lymphocytes and Th2 lymphocytes. Each of these cells produce different cell signaling mediators called Cytokines or Interleukins and have separate effects on the Intercellular space known as the MATRIX.
The Matrix is that space between the capillary beds and the basement membranes of cells through which all nutrients and waste products must pass for Intracellular Aerobic Metabolism to take place and waste products to be properly eliminated. It is this space where when the end organs of excretion (kidneys, gut, liver, lungs, skin) get clogged up that the body stores its toxic load that cannot be eliminated AND becomes the prime source of body function breakdown and hence chronic disease.
The body has created all forms of mechanisms to self Detox the Matrix, the prime mechanism of which is the Inflammation response. It is the main source of body repair, however, it causes all form of Processes, Syndromes and Manifestations that we call DISEASES which Dr. Reckeweg charged as the main difference between Allopathy and Homotocology.
The Allopath uses Chemicals to block these processes to turn off uncomfortable Natural Reactions but suppress true Detoxification and health whereas the good Homotoxicologist acts to enable and speedup these processes to more rapidly Detoxify the system and get ultimate cleansing and absolute good health.
It seems absolutely necessary for the Th1 and Th2 cytokines to continue their rhythmic alternation to continue Matrix Detoxification and the disease states seem to occur when these mechanisms get BLOCKED. When a Th2 block occurs the massive buildup of the cytokines produced by Th2 cells over stimulate B lymphocyte and massive chronic allergies ensue. When a Th1 type block occurs the extra cytokines produced by Th1 cells cause overwhelming
Inflammation states although Th1 cytokines do fight cancerous and chronic viral conditions.
HOWEVER true health can only occur when the natural rhythmic alternation between the two are occurring normally without excessive cytokine production of either type.
An observation by a Heel scientist by the name of Professor Heine noted that when the appropriate Heel combination remedy was introduced that the To cells seemed to convert to Th3 lymphocytes and that this effect known as the Bystander reaction saw these Th3 lymphocytes produce the lifesaving cytokine known as TGF-Beta (Transforming
growth Factor Beta). TGF-beta has the effect of unblocking the Th1/Th2 block and restarts the normal rhythmic mechanisms necessary for normal detoxification.
It is interesting to note that combination Homo-toxicology remedies seems to work much better than single homeopathic or even allergy serum formulas because of a phenomena known as the BURGI effect. Burgi effects are the magnification of the effectiveness of a reaction when multiple substances but at Similiar dilutions are present in a
remedy formulation.
This is where the genius of Dr Reckeweg took place. If one studies the formulation of the Homo-toxicology formulations of Heel as has been done by Dr Arturo O’Byrne MD, it was noted that there was almost a Musical relationship of the ingredients in the different formulas and that the work of genius is how these formulations were put together to create the effect that occurs.
HERE COME SOME SINCERE QUESTIONS FROM YOUR AUTHOR:
- Since it’s very clear that T-suppressor Lymphocytes have direct effect on B-lymphocytes might it not be possible that this is the exact site where the Homotoxicology Remedies have their main effect???? If this is the case, it isn’t the To cells that become Th3 cells, it is simply the dilutional effect on the known CD8 cells

This perfectly correlates to the Th1/Th2 blockade seen in the immune system and its effect on the Matrix. Therefore it leads your author to deduce that the Matrix effect is coming at some higher more basic level within the system.

- Color Therapy

What also seems overwhelmingly clear in the authors observation that when HOMOTOXICOLOGY is added to any of the above modalities, those modalities appear to be OPTIMIZED.
It does however come back to the basic question, WHERE IS THE SITE OF ACTION OF THE HOMOTOXIC REMEDIES.
- Is it at the Immune system Level and transmitted viathe Matrix to the rest of the body?
- Is it somewhere in the Nervous System or Brain?
- Is it in the second Brain, known as the Lymphatics of the GI Tract? Is it in the Heart also felt to be the seat of the soul? Is it all of the above????
